The Craic: As Bridewell Space neared its end days Meanwhile Creative upped sticks and settled into a new home only a hundred yards away, Pithay Studios. The two half-floors were home to a gym, salon and treatment centre that had been left dormant for years prior to May 2014. We set about throwing out the broken tanning beds and whitewashing the building from head to toe. We split up larger spaces with subdividing partitions creating a range of affordable options for existing tenants and new.
One year into its life, Pithay Studios buzzes with activity bringing much-needed life to a neglected corner of Broadmead. Phoenix Cafe began trading in the later stages of 2014, serving delicious coffee and food to tenants and walk-ins alike. The gym and fitness studio go from strength to strength often offering discounts to fellow residents. Social and networking events are growing more frequent including a weekly coffee afternoon on Thursdays.
